SIGNS THAT YOU’RE ABANDONING YOURSELF:
Saying yes when you mean no. Doing the thing you don’t want to do. Not doing the thing you know your soul is craving. Judging yourself. Ignoring your feelings. Looking for love and approval from others. Settling in relationships. Playing small. Putting others first. Quitting when success is near. Avoiding conflict. People pleasing. Lack of boundaries. Suppressing feelings. Making Others Responsible for You.
You can abandon self In drugs, alcohol, empty friendships, men or women who don’t love you and loads of other self-destructive choices.
Abandoning yourself is as simple as dismissing your true needs and desires and tuning the feck out from SELF.
As adults, our own well-being is our personal responsibility.
As an adult, another person cannot abandon you, since they are not responsible for you.
If you are a physically healthy adult you can be left, but you cannot be abandoned by others.
Only you can abandon you.
The way out of this is to start paying attention to your feelings.
Putting your attention inside of your body instead of always focusing outside.
The moment you feel like shit, notice what you are thinking or doing that is causing your pain.
The painful feelings that come from your thoughts are your inner guidance system's way of letting you know that what you are thinking is not true, that it is not in your highest good.
Ask the highest part of yourself, "What is the truth?"
And then take the action required to CHOOSE SELF.
Notice how you feel when you attend to your feelings and tell yourself the truth, rather than judge yourself, ignore yourself and make others responsible for your feelings.
Ask:
Where are you abandoning yourself?
Why?
By doing this, am I turning my back on me?
Explore this with an open heart.
Next, ask yourself, “what do I need in this moment?”
Remember, You abandon your needs when you resort to negative habits instead of what you really need, self-love.

Return home to yourself and become your own safe space.
